The 3 things that make or break a custom sign
Expanding your office, refreshing your space or branding an event? Here is what to get right before you order, straight from the team that designs, prints and installs these across the UK every week.
Ordering a custom sign looks simple. Pick a size, upload a logo, done. But the gap between a sign that makes your brand look premium and one that turns up thin, wrong, or damaged almost always comes down to three things most people never think to ask about. After 12 years and 32,950+ projects, here is what actually matters.
Will it actually look like it does on screen?
The number-one reason a finished sign disappoints is the artwork. A logo that looks crisp on a website is often a low-resolution or raster file that falls apart at size, and fine lettering has a minimum thickness before it stops reading cleanly. A flat wall graphic, a built-up 3D logo and an illuminated sign each have a different minimum size your logo needs to hit to stay sharp.
Here is the catch. Most online sign sellers push everything through an automated system, so no human ever looks at your file. You only find out there is a problem when the box arrives and the detail has vanished.

A real person checks your artwork before anything is made. If your file is too thin, too low-res, or has small text that will not survive at your chosen size, we tell you, then either redraw it properly or recommend the size that keeps it crisp. You approve a proof before we print a thing.
Will it turn up with the right fittings, and undamaged?
A beautiful sign is useless if it arrives with the wrong fixings for your wall, or gets damaged in transit. This is exactly where supply-only websites leave you stranded. Plaster, brick, glass and plasterboard all need different fixings, external signs need weatherproof mounts, and a large piece has to be packed and handled properly.
When something goes wrong with a faceless supplier, you are a ticket in a queue, chasing an inbox that may never reply.

You get one real person assigned to your project from enquiry to installation, not a ticket number. Installed projects include a site survey, we supply the correct fixings for your surface, and our own London team plus a nationwide network can fit it for you. It is all backed by our 100% money-back guarantee, so if anything is not right, we put it right.
Do you actually need the type of sign you think you need?
This is the one that quietly saves businesses the most money, and the one an automated checkout will never do for you. A lot of companies simply sell you whatever you clicked on, even when it is not the right fit. But the obvious choice is often the expensive one.
A real example. A customer recently came to us certain she needed a neon sign. Neon and faux-neon can look stunning, but they are also one of the pricier options, and not always the best fit for the space or the budget. By actually talking it through, we found an alternative that gave her the look she was after for a fraction of the cost. She got a better result and spent less, because someone took the time to understand what she was really trying to achieve.

The goal was never to sell her the most expensive sign. It was to find the right one for her brand, her space and her budget. That is what talking to someone who understands signage gives you, and it is something a checkout button never will.
