Mini Case Study: C7 Architects
C7 Architects are a commercial, residential and retail architects firm that has over 30 years of experience working on projects ranging all the way up to fifty million pounds. Based in Peasmarsh in Guildford, C7 got in touch with us at Vi to ask us to help them with the finishing touches for the modern office space they had designed.
Specifically, they wanted to create two themed breakout spaces that would reflect their creative edge and corporate personality. In addition to these spaces, they wanted to add an element of fun within a corridor that connects several parts of the office.
The first breakout space was designed to be a celebration of New York City and as part of this they wanted to incorporate a wall mural covering. In order to make this possible, we sourced an image to their exact specification before sizing it fit their wall.
The second breakout space was designed to be a beach paradise and again needed to feature a wall mural to help create the full effect. So, like before, we sourced a beach image that matched C7’s specifications and sent it across to them for approval. After sending them this Ed, our creative director, suggested that we also produce a floor graphic that would continue the mural onto the ground to create the feel of being on a beach. Perfect for staff to relax in on their breaks.
Sourcing the image for the floor graphic required matching the colour of the sand as well as locating an image that had the correct orientation that made the sand look as though it was under foot.
After both the images were approved, we set about producing the graphics by panelling them down into drops like wallpaper.
Finally, we produced a series of motivational quotes in a similar style for application within a corridor. These wall stickers were cut from sheet vinyl and were hand finished by our team within our production studio.
Once all the graphics were produced we dispatched them from our production centre to site where our installation collected them and installed them in the newly designed office space.
