Creating a Modern Office Space for Trintech in London

When global fintech company Trintech approached us to brand their new London office, the brief was clear: create a modern, engaging workspace that reflected their brand while improving the overall look and feel of the office.

Having previously worked with Trintech on a successful office branding project at their former location, there was already a strong foundation of trust and collaboration. This meant we could move quickly — focusing on creative solutions that would elevate the new space while remaining practical, cost-effective, and future-proof.

Located in Bank, the new office needed to feel contemporary, professional, and aligned with Trintech’s global brand. Our challenge was to transform a dated interior into a cohesive environment that employees would enjoy working in every day.

Assessing the Space and Requirements

As with all office branding projects, the first step was a detailed site survey. Visiting the space allowed us to take accurate measurements, assess existing finishes, and identify areas where branding could have the greatest impact. The office had strong fundamentals — a good layout, plenty of natural light, and well-defined meeting spaces — but there were several elements that made the interior feel tired and disconnected from Trintech’s brand.

One of the most noticeable issues was the dated wooden doors throughout the office. While functional, they made the space feel old-fashioned and didn’t align with the modern, technology-led brand Trintech represents. The client also wanted to bring more personality into the meeting rooms, which were named after famous bodies of water from around the world — a theme that presented an exciting creative opportunity.

Developing the Creative Direction

Once the site survey was complete and the floorplans were marked up, we began developing ideas for how to refresh the space without unnecessary disruption.

Our approach focused on three key principles:

  • Modernising existing elements rather than replacing them
  • Creating visual interest and depth using simple materials
  • Ensuring branding was consistent, subtle, and functional

Instead of removing and replacing the wooden doors, we proposed wrapping them with branded vinyl. This instantly transformed their appearance, giving them a clean, contemporary finish while keeping costs and installation time down.

To tie in with the meeting room naming convention, we also explored ideas around water-inspired window films — a design feature that could add texture and storytelling to the space while offering privacy where needed.

Vinyl Door Wraps

Wrapping the office doors was one of the most effective elements of the project. The original wood finish felt out of place in a modern office environment, and replacing the doors entirely would have been costly and disruptive.

By applying high-quality vinyl door wraps, we were able to:

  • Modernise the look of the doors instantly
  • Create a consistent finish across the office
  • Reduce waste by reusing existing materials

This approach aligns with how many modern office branding projects are delivered — focusing on smart upgrades that offer maximum visual impact with minimal downtime. The new door finishes immediately elevated the space, making corridors and meeting room areas feel cleaner and more cohesive.

Feature Window Film Inspired by Water

One of the standout ideas developed for this project was the use of feature window film inspired by water. As the meeting rooms were named after famous bodies of water from around the world, the window film design allowed us to subtly reflect this theme without being overly literal or decorative.

The benefits of the window film were threefold:

  • Visual interest: Adding pattern and movement to otherwise plain glass
  • Privacy: Softening visibility into meeting rooms without blocking light
  • Storytelling: Reinforcing the meeting room names through design

The result was a sophisticated, understated feature that worked beautifully with the natural light in the office — adding depth without overwhelming the space.

3D Meeting Room Names

To further enhance the meeting rooms, we introduced 3D meeting room names applied directly to the doors. These were produced using 5mm white Foamex, a cost-effective material that adds depth and presence without significantly increasing production costs. It’s a simple technique, but one that makes a noticeable difference.

The 3D lettering helped:

  • Clearly identify each meeting room
  • Reinforce the naming theme in a tactile way
  • Add a premium feel without premium materials

This is a great example of how thoughtful detailing can elevate an office environment without overcomplicating the design.

Supporting the Sales Team with Functional Branding

Office branding isn’t just about aesthetics — it should also support how teams work day to day. For Trintech’s sales team, we installed magnetic whiteboards that could be used for planning sessions, strategy discussions, and team meetings.

These elements were designed to sit naturally within the branded environment, blending function with visual consistency. By incorporating practical tools into the branding scheme, the office became not just visually engaging, but genuinely useful for the people working there.

Reception Branding and First Impressions

The reception area plays an important role in any office environment; it’s the first thing visitors see and sets the tone for the entire space. For Trintech’s reception, we installed a 3D logo feature that immediately communicates brand confidence and professionalism. Positioned prominently, the logo creates a strong focal point while remaining clean and understated.

This type of branding helps reinforce trust, especially for a global fintech brand welcoming clients, partners, and new team members into the space.

Bringing the Space Together

What made this project particularly successful was how all the individual elements worked together:

  • Door wraps modernised the base architecture
  • Window films introduced texture and storytelling
  • 3D lettering added depth and clarity
  • Functional features supported everyday working
  • Reception branding created a strong first impression

Rather than relying on one bold statement piece, the office branding was built up through layered details, resulting in a space that feels considered, cohesive, and genuinely enjoyable to work in.

Bringing the Space Together

The completed office branding project successfully transformed Trintech’s new Bank office into a modern, engaging workspace that reflects both their brand and their culture. The client was delighted with the outcome, particularly how the design solutions balanced creativity with practicality. You can view more of the finished space in our Trintech Project Gallery.

By reusing existing elements and introducing thoughtful upgrades, the project delivered strong visual impact without unnecessary complexity. It’s a great example of how effective office branding doesn’t need to be over-designed — it simply needs to be well thought out.

Branding That Works Beyond the Surface

This project shows how effective office branding comes from making considered, practical decisions rather than over-designing a space. By focusing on targeted upgrades that enhanced both function and visual identity, the office was able to evolve into a modern, cohesive environment that genuinely supports the people using it every day.

Frequently Asked Questions for Trintech Office Branding

How early should office branding be considered in an office move or refresh?

Office branding is most effective when it’s considered early in the process — ideally during space planning or shortly after securing a new office. This allows branding elements to work with layouts, finishes, and functionality rather than being added as an afterthought, often saving time and budget in the long run.

Can office branding be delivered in phases rather than all at once?

Yes. Many businesses choose a phased approach, starting with high-impact areas like reception spaces, meeting rooms, or key walkways. This allows branding to be rolled out strategically over time, spreading investment while still creating a cohesive environment.

How do you ensure office branding aligns with a global brand while feeling local?

Successful office branding balances global brand guidelines with the character of the space and its location. This often means using core brand elements consistently, while tailoring materials, layouts, and features to suit how local teams work and how the space is used day to day.

Is office branding suitable for occupied, live workspaces?

In most cases, yes. Office branding can be planned and installed in stages to minimise disruption, often outside of working hours if needed. Thoughtful planning ensures teams can continue working comfortably while the space is being refreshed.
