A Creative Spin on Office Design: The Orange Door Project

At Orange Door, creativity is the heart of everything they do. As an integrated marketing communications, events, and creative agency, they’ve spent the last 18+ years building a reputation for delivering standout results that turn heads and inspire audiences. Their team thrives on bold ideas and innovative solutions, and their clients have come to trust them to unlock the full potential of every opportunity.

When Orange Door began their latest chapter of growth, they needed an office space that lived up to their dynamic culture. The relocation provided the perfect opportunity to design an environment that reflected their creative spirit and gave their team the tools and inspiration to succeed. That’s where we came in. Our team was tasked with creating a workspace that was practical, visually striking, and unmistakably Orange Door.

What Challenges Did the New Office Present?

The new office came with an exciting feature — a full glass front that bathed the entire space in natural light. While the brightness created an uplifting atmosphere, it also posed a challenge: the lack of privacy. The Orange Door team needed a way to maintain the openness and light while adding functional design elements that would allow employees to work comfortably without distraction.

At the same time, they wanted the space to reflect their brand personality, which is vibrant, bold, and full of character. Empty walls, undefined meeting rooms, and open glass panels had the potential to feel sterile. For a creative agency known for energy and imagination, that simply wasn’t an option.

They needed an environment that would inspire their team daily, foster collaboration, and make a powerful first impression on every client who walked through the door.

How Did Our Team Approach the Design?

When we sat down to plan the project, our focus was clear: combine functionality with creativity. We knew this space had to be more than an office — it had to be a living reflection of Orange Door’s ethos. Every choice we made, from materials to color palettes, was guided by two priorities: practicality for day-to-day work and a design that would energise the people using it.

We also took into account how employees would move through the space, where they would collaborate, and how clients would experience the office from the moment they stepped inside. With those insights, we crafted a plan that transformed plain glass, empty walls, and undefined rooms into striking, purposeful features.

What Creative Solutions Brought the Space to Life?

Our team introduced a series of design elements that elevated the office from a blank canvas into a branded, functional space.

Privacy With A Creative Twist

To solve the challenge of the glass frontage, we installed a combination of coloured translucent window film and frosted panels in geometric patterns. This solution allowed natural light to flow freely while giving the team much-needed privacy.

We used our Plain Frosted Band Window Sticker, a versatile option that brings both functionality and style to glass surfaces. The geometric shapes added visual intrigue, turning what might have been a plain divider into a statement piece that immediately caught the eye.

Walls That Speak To You

Blank walls can make even the brightest office feel uninspired. To bring personality into the space, we created a series of print and cut inspirational quotes, carefully placed throughout the office. These weren’t generic slogans but messages that aligned with Orange Door’s ethos — a daily reminder of their mission to push boundaries and create meaningful work.

For this, we used our Typography Custom Printed Wall Graphic, a flexible solution that allows any wall to be transformed into a bold statement piece. This product not only adds character but also reinforces brand values in a way that feels both creative and authentic.

Defining Spaces With Style

For a growing team, clearly defined spaces are important. We designed cut frosted manifestations and custom room names to mark out meeting areas and private rooms.

To reinforce Orange Door’s brand identity, we incorporated their logo into the glass using our Printed Logo Window Sticker (Frosted) and Plain Logo Window Sticker (Frosted). These elements added clarity and privacy while making the office instantly recognisable as Orange Door’s creative hub.

A Bold Color Palette

We finished the design with a color scheme that blended deep green accents with Orange Door’s signature brand orange. The contrast created energy and focus, ensuring that every area felt visually engaging without being overwhelming. The result was a space that balanced sophistication with vibrancy — perfect for a team that thrives on creativity.

What Impact Did the Transformation Have?

The transformation was immediate. What had once been an open, undefined office became a vibrant hub of creativity and collaboration.

  • The geometric window panels are now a centerpiece of the office, sparking conversation among visitors and giving the team a sense of privacy without sacrificing light.

  • The inspirational quotes have turned previously empty walls into moments of daily motivation, helping the team stay focused and energized.

  • The room names and frosted manifestations have improved functionality, making navigation simple while reinforcing a sense of identity.

  • The color palette has tied the whole environment together, creating a workspace that truly feels like home for the Orange Door team.

But the results go beyond design. The new space actively supports productivity, collaboration, and creativity. Employees have a place where they feel inspired to do their best work, and clients experience Orange Door’s personality the moment they step inside. The office has become a talking point, a reflection of the agency’s relentless pursuit of excellence, and a tool for attracting new talent.

Why Does Office Design Matter for a Creative Agency?

An office is more than a place to work: it’s an extension of a brand. For Orange Door, this project wasn’t only about privacy or decoration. It was about creating a space that aligned with their mission and values.

The design choices we made together ensure that the office itself communicates what Orange Door stands for: creativity, boldness, and energy. It’s a reminder that when you walk into the right environment, you don’t just see the brand — you feel it.
